Another Pagani Zonda Crashed, This Time In The Czech Republic

The Pagani Zonda may be getting a bit long in the tooth, but it’s still a very powerful supercar from the analog era and as such, demands the driver’s full attention – and skills. An owner from the Czech Republic learned it first hand when they crashed a Zonda C12 S on a twisty road near Prague. Thankfully no serious injuries were reported.

The circumstances of the accident are unknown but there is a video shot by tobiastrunc and shared on Instagram by supercar.fails, showing the yellow-painted Zonda resting in a ditch. We suspect that the driver lost control of the rear-wheel drive Italian supercar and went off the edge of the road, but since there’s no way of knowing for sure, that’s just a hypothesis.

While the profile and the rear end of the car do not show signs of damage, the front clamshell is broken and it is likely that there will be some underbody damage as well. Given that the road is surrounded by a deep ditch and many trees, the driver must feel lucky to avoid a more serious crash. Still, it will cost thousands of dollars to replace the damaged parts.

The car appears to be an early 2000 Pagani Zonda C12 S and not one of the countless special editions that followed. The C12 S was fitted with a naturally aspirated 7.0-liter AMG engine producing 542 hp (405 kW / 550 PS) and 750 Nm (553 lb-ft) of torque, mated exclusively to a six-speed manual transmission. The 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) sprint was completed in 3.7 seconds and the top speed was 335 km/h (208 mph).

In any case, the Zonda will be likely sent to the factory for repairs since its value is too high to let go. After all, since 2017 Pagani is offering a restoration program dubbed Pagani Rinascimento, which could bring virtually any example of the supercar back to pristine condition – with the equivalent cost of course.

A Mustang Dressed As A Mercedes-AMG GT Crashed Through A Bus Stop

A Mercedes-AMG GT 4-Door has been destroyed after crashing into a bus stop in Bulgaria.

Details surrounding the incident are unclear but images and video shared online show the high-powered sedan resting against the bus stop after crashing at what appears to be a large roundabout.

It is difficult to determine the precise GT 4-Door variant we’re looking at, but one local publication suggests that it is a GT 63+ model tuned by Brabus.

Although nothing’s certain, it’s possible that the driver of the expensive Mercedes-AMG model lost control of the car while entering the roundabout, driving straight over the concrete curb before smashing into the bus stop. The incident happened late at night and the car was still stuck in the bus stop the following morning.

The damage sustained to the car is, obviously, quite comprehensive. Jumping over the high curb probably severely damaged the sedan’s front fascia and suspension components while the actual impact with the bus stop inevitably resulted in even more damage. One video that seems to have been taken shortly after the crash shows that the ignition was still turned on and its hazard lights were flashing while the car was sitting almost upright with its front end mangled.

There is no word on whether the driver, or any occupants, of the GT 4-Door were injured in the crash.

Pickup Truck Left Dangling Above Idaho Gorge In Terrifying Accident

Two people have been extremely lucky to survive a frightening incident in southern Idaho that left their pickup truck dangling above a gorge.

The incident occurred on Malad Gorge Bridge on I-84 earlier in the week when the driver of a 2004 Ford F-350 pickup truck towing a caravan lost control. Witness say the truck and caravan hit the right shoulder barrier then ricocheted into the left barrier, causing the truck to tip over the guardrail. The safety chain attached between the truck and the caravan is all that stopped the Ford from falling 80 to 100 feet into the gorge below.

Autoblog reports that truck driver Rod Drury pulled up to the scene shortly after the crash and after being joined by an Idaho state trooper, they anchored more chains from the pickup to Drury’s big rig to stop it from falling.

A team of emergency responders were quickly dispatched to the scene, including the Magic Valley Paramedics Special Operations Rescue Team. They proceeded to rappel down to the pickup truck and attach a harness to the 67-year-old male driver and his 64-year-old wife and raise them to safety. Both were transported to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Two small dogs were also saved from the pickup.

“This was a tremendous team effort that took a quick response and really showed the dedication and training of our community of first responders,” Capt. David Neth of the Idaho State Police District 4 in Jerome said. “This is something we train and prepare for, but when it happens and people’s lives literally hang in the balance, it takes everyone working together, and then some.”

Running From The Police With A U-Haul Truck Is Not A Good Idea

If you want to try and outrun the police, the only real chance you’ve got is if you own a motorcycle or a performance car. Evidently, the driver in this video didn’t get the message.

This incident happened in Georgia back in March but we only recently came across footage of the chase thanks to the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office channel on YouTube.

According to local police, they responded to a call from a local Walmart after a shoplifting incident involving a man. The suspect fled the scene of the alleged theft in a U-Haul truck and was heading northbound on GA-400.

At the start of the video below, the driver of the U-Haul truck intelligently pulls over and it looks like that is where the incident will end. However, shortly after officers get out of their vehicles and point their weapons at the man, he floors the accelerator and tries to drive away. As you’d imagine, a small U-Haul truck like this isn’t what anyone would call ‘fast’, so it’s not long before the police catch up and tail the man down the highway.

The driver continues to drive down the highway for quite some time, but before long, the officers successfully deploy a spike strip. Soon after, the front right tire of the truck falls off – but not even that stops the suspect. The driver subsequently exits the highway and while trying to cut through a section of grass near the highway, gets stuck in the dirt and tries to flee the scene on foot. Unsurprisingly, the officers soon arrested him.

The man was charged with theft by shoplifting, possession of cocaine, possession of drug-related objects, driving under the influence of multiple substances, obstruction of law enforcement officers, fleeing/attempting to elude for a felony offense, aggressive driving, and driving while license suspended or revoked.

Stolen Dodge Charger Crashes Into Florida Garage, Driver Flees The Scene

A Dodge Charger dramatically crashed through the garage of a home in Jacksonville, Florida earlier this week.

Security camera vision from a house across the street captured the incident. The Charger can be seen veering off the road, going up the curb and over the front lawn of a neighboring house before slamming into the garage. The driver ran from the scene but less than a minute later, he briefly returned before bolting off into the distance again.

According to News 4 Jax, Mariam Boswell was sleeping alone in the home when the Charger crashed into her garage. At first, she didn’t realize what had actually happened. Boswell’s husband was out of town at the time but quickly returned home to find a broken AC unit, among other items. The crash also busted a generator that started leaking fuel.

“This guy got out of the car, left the car running, left it in gear and then ran like a coward,” Ron Boswell told local media. “It bothers me a lot that he didn’t at least ring the doorbell then run to make sure that, if the house is on fire, nobody would get hurt.”

Police reports that the Dodge Charger was stolen from a nearby street shortly before the crash and its driver has yet to be found. Boswell said the owners of the stolen car apologized for the damage but, of course, it was not their fault.

What Just Happened Here? Minivan Is Suddenly Tossed Into The Air In Japan

A scary dashcam footage has emerged out of Japan that shows a white minivan being propelled off the pavement while driving through a ferocious storm.

According to the description of the video posted on Twitter, the incident happened close to Gifu Park in the town of Gifu, near the city of Nagoya. It shows a white minivan making a right-hand turn when a sudden gush of water fills the screen and the rear end of the vehicle is lifted high off the ground.

When watching the video for the first time, we were left truly stunned at what we had seen, unable to explain why the minivan was lifted off the ground the way it was. It’s as if it was pulled into the air by a piece of string. However, a bit of digging on social media posts about the video might explain what happened here.

One possible answer is that the storm drain running under the road likely became flooded, leading to a build-up of pressure and water. It appears all this air and water escaped from a manhole cover just before the minivan started to make the right-hand turn. It looks to have then driven directly over the hole and been blown upwards from all the air pressure.

Making the incident all the more weird is the fact that, just as the minivan is lifted off the ground, a ladder flies up out of the manhole cover before falling to the pavement.

Yellow Lamborghini Aventador Rear Ends… Another Yellow Lamborghini Aventador

Two virtually identical Lamborghini Aventador S models crashed into each other in Singapore last weekend, local media reports.

According to RedChili21, the incident occurred on Sunday, June 7 when the two Aventador Ss were driving in unison through the city’s streets. It is claimed that one of the Lamborghinis was stopped at an intersection when it was rear-ended by the second.

While the owners of the two cars quickly removed their license plates, members at the SG Road Vigilante – SGRV group on Facebook identified the two cars. In the wake of the incident, a video of one of the Aventadors speeding through a roundabout and cutting off a car on May 24 has emerged.

The two Aventadors involved in the crash are easily identifiable because of the modifications made to them. Not only are both painted in the same shade of yellow but they are both rolling on black wheels and appear to feature similar side skirts, rear diffusers, and identical rear wings.

It is understood that police arrived at the scene of the crash and both of the supercars were towed away, but not before a series of photos and videos of them were snapped by bystanders.

Photos show that the rear bumper, diffuser and one of the rear quarter panels of the front Aventador has been damaged, while the front bumper and splitter of the example that hit it has also been messed up. It also looks as though a small fire may have been triggered in the front car, as at least two men could be seen dousing it with a fire extinguisher.
